I think this is a lovely piece. The blues and the darkness go extremely well together. The darkness that the people make, actually really help pull the piece together. The only thing I dislike about this photo is the random bits of red and other colors from the other lights.. they distract from the main source. Other than that I think this is a great piece of art and you should keep up the great work. Maybe even experiment in Photoshop a little and blur the people, so it's just darkness or get rid of the random lights that distract. Keep up the fantastic work!
